    Ancient Rome

    Ancient RomeBy private or shared transportation, reach Quirinal Square, with the Presidential Palace as well as Piazza Venezia towered by the imposing “Vittoriano”.

    Visit the Capitol square, a unique treasure of history and art, where Michelangelo’s noble architecture blends with Roman times’ masterpieces.

    The view from there over the Roman Forum, the most fascinating archeological area in the world, will leave you breathless. Continue to the Coliseum, the most famous monument ever built symbol itself of Rome’s majesty and eternity. The tour ends at the Church of St. Peter in Chains, where you can admire Michelangelo’s Moses.

    Vatican Museums & St. Peter’s Basilica

    Vatican MuseumsYou will travel by private or shared transportation to Vatican City. In the Vatican Museums, you will be shown a fine collection of antiques.

    The visit includes: the Pio-Clementino halls (the Laocoon and Apollo Belvedere), the Candelabra Gallery, the fascinating Tapestry Gallery, the Gallery of Maps, and the world famous Sistine Chapel, decorated by Michelangelo.

    The tour will then proceed to St. Peter’s Basilica where you will view the art treasures of the largest Roman Catholic Church in the world, including Michelangelo’s Pietà.

    Tivoli

    TivoliAfter an approximately 45 minutes drive, the tour reaches Adrian’s Villa (visit), the largest and most luxurious country residence of all times with its gorgeous array of imperial palaces, thermal baths, temples, theatres, and pools.

    A short drive will take us to Tivoli where we will visit Villa D’Este, one of the most enchanting of the late Renaissance, home of Lucretia Borgia’s son, famous for its gardens, marvelous fountains, waterfalls, and centenary trees.

    Spend an evening cooking with Nonna – grandma, learning how she’s been making roman specialties – using local, fresh ingredients – for decades.

    The menu changes seasonally but always includes a popular antipasto (appetizer), homemade pasta, a local meat dish, and dessert.

    Then you’ll enjoy the meal you cooked with local wine and great company.

  • Transfers

    TransferWhen in Rome, Caravelle Tours offers private transfers, up to 14 passengers.

    Depending on the number of passengers, you will be picked up in a deluxe car, a minivan, or a mini bus.

    All below listed transfers are one-way transfers, and luggage is limited to 2 per person.
